Universidad del Valle realiza el evento “Diseño en Sociedad”

   Universidad del Valle

Con la intención de destacar el diseño como una disciplina importante en la sociedad contemporánea, el Departamento de Diseño de la Facultad de Artes Integradas de la Universidad del Valle, con el apoyo de la Cámara de Comercio de Cali, la Secretaría de Cultura y Turismo de Cali y el Ministerio de Cultura, realizará en Cali del 10 al 31 de agosto, "Diseño en Sociedad" en su quinta versión. 



Este evento comprende la exposición de los mejores trabajos realizados en el último año de los estudiantes de Diseño Gráfico y de Diseño Industrial incluyendo los proyectos de grado. Esta exhibición tendrá lugar en la sala de exposiciones de la Cámara de Comercio de Cali - sede principal. 

Como parte fundamental de “Diseño en Sociedad” se tendrá un ciclo de conferencias con reconocidos diseñadores. 

  • Omar Villota: Magíster en Comunicación Digital (U.VIC. España), Especialista en Redes de Información Documental. Autor del libro "Fundamentos de ciudadanía y nuevos medios".

  • Gustavo Villa: Magíster en Estética, Especialista en Hermenéutica y Semiótica del Arte de la Universidad Nacional, Maestro en Artes Plásticas de la Universidad de Caldas. 

  • Diego García-Reyes Röthlisberger: Diseñador Industrial egresado de l'Ecole d'Art de Lausanne (Suiza), con Especialización en Gestión de Recursos Internacionales (Univ. Jorge Tadeo Lozano). Coordinador Ejecutivo del Programa Nacional de Diseño para la Industria - PNDI con el Ministerio de Industria y Comercio. 

  • Juan Diego Sanín Santamaría: Diseñador Industrial con Maestría en Estética de la Universidad Nacional de Colombia. Ha escrito artículos como: Estéticas del consumo. Configuraciones de la cultura material", Reapariciones. Los objetos que la gente hace asura" Revista Iconofacto Vol.1 -UPB. 

  • Camilo Umaña: con estudios de Producción Periódica y de Libros en el London College of Printing. Ha participado varias veces en la Bienal de Brno. Medalla de Bronce en Diseño en "Der Internationalen Buchkunst-Ausstellung, Leipzig 1989".

  • Rómulo Polo: Promoción del Diseño, NID, Amhedabad (India). Diseño y Energía (México). Diseño Básico, Carpenter Center of Design (Boston - USA). diseñador industrial y diseñador de muebles de la Universidad de los Andes. Ha sido Asesor para el Programa de Naciones Unidas para el Desarrollo Industrial (Onudi). Fundador y Primer Presidente de la Asociación Latinoamericana de Diseño Industrial (Aladi).

    Este ciclo de conferencias serán del 23 al 25 de agosto, en horas de la mañana, el auditorio de la Cámara de Comercio - sede principal con entrada gratuita.

    Instructor Led Classroom Training RecStay classes are more then just dynamic, engaging and incorporate practical examples demonstrating how the techniques the trainee is learning can be implemented into their work immediately. Course material covers the range from beginner to advanced. Class length is 6-7 hours, depending on the subject and level. At the end of the day the trainee has been introduced to a good number of concepts and tools and has had the opportunity to practice them during the class. The instructor for all classes, has experience as a trainer. He has trained in a wide variety of settings, from high-tech training rooms to the factory floor. He has rolled out software to large companies, projects spanning several years, as well as smaller firms and shorter engagements. His training style is such that he engages the trainee right from the beginning and keeps the pace lively during the entire class. He takes "what if" questions as they come and goes "off book" if the need arises, modifying the material to fit the classes' needs. Along with group classes, one on one training is available.
