Caliendanza @ FIX University from USC Campus

Festival Caliendanza ha trabajado en abrir caminos a la danza contemporánea en la ciudad, presentando importantes compañías nacionales e internacionales y fortaleciendo de esta manera la formación de públicos y el trabajo conjunto interinstitucional en pro de la danza contemporánea.

En este momento y cumpliendo con lo propuesto en el proyecto inicial, el cual cerraba en 2010 la época de Festivales y abría en el 2011 el camino a lo que sería la Bienal de Danza de Cali en 2013. Comfandi y la Alianza Colombo Francesa de Cali, con el apoyo decidido de Proartes, el Ministerio de Cultura y la Secretaría de Cultura y Turismo de Santiago de Cali han diseñado un proceso honesto que llevará al público de Caliendanza de la mano en un periplo dancístico que iniciará en el 2011 y terminará en la Primera Bienal de Danza de Cali en el 2013.

En este viaje de música, movimiento y amistad estarán presentes importantes compañías y coreógrafos, amigos y nuevos colaboradores que apoyarán las bases de la naciente Bienal.

Pockemon Crew es el resultado de un laboratorio en donde el Hip Hop y el Break dance delimitan el canal de investigación coreográfico. Después de años de ser un grupo conformado solo por hombres, tendrían que toparse en algún momento con la presencia de una mujer, y es allí donde nace “Second Souffle” un encuentro entre el hip hop y la danza contemporánea.

El resultado de esta relación nos brinda momentos de gracia, sensualidad, confrontación y cuestionamiento de dos universos que se entrecruzan para terminar siendo uno. En definitiva un desafío para la puesta en escena y los bailarines, pero también un océano de posibilidades.

El grupo se presenta el martes 29 de marzo a las 7:00 de la noche en el Teatro Municipal Enrique Buenaventura.

Instructor Led Classroom Training RecStay classes are more then just dynamic, engaging and incorporate practical examples demonstrating how the techniques the trainee is learning can be implemented into their work immediately. Course material covers the range from beginner to advanced. Class length is 6-7 hours, depending on the subject and level.
