El archivo Histórico de Cali a través la Cátedra Abierta Archivo Histórico de Cali, realizará el II simposio “Historia, Pedagogía y Cultura”, cuyo objetivo fundamental es plantear nuevas miradas, perspectivas de análisis y conceptualizaciones sobre nuestro devenir histórico, como ejercicio fundamental para la formación de una conciencia de carácter crítico en las actuales generaciones, invitando al estudio y el debate sobre aspectos fundamentales relacionados con la historia, la pedagogía y la cultura, reconociendo que estos saberes han cumplido un papel fundamental en el desarrollo de las sociedades y las personas.
Este evento se llevará a cabo, además, teniendo en cuenta que en el mes de mayo se conmemora el día del maestro, con lo cual se busca hacer un reconocimiento a la importante labor educativa, pedagógica y cultural de los maestros y maestras de nuestra ciudad.

Sumado a esto se contara con el apoyo del Grupo de Historia de la Práctica Pedagógica en Colombia —GHPP—, con una trayectoria de 30 años, es un grupo de investigación interuniversitario, conformado por investigadores de la Universidad de Antioquia, la Universidad Pedagógica Nacional, la Universidad del Valle, la Universidad Javeriana, la Universidad Nacional de Colombia y la Universidad del Cauca.
El evento se llevará a cabo en el Auditorio del Centro Cultural de Cali los días 11, 12 y 13 de mayo, desde la 8:00am con la siguiente programación:

Instructor Led Classroom Training RecStay classes are more then just dynamic, engaging and incorporate practical examples demonstrating how the techniques the trainee is learning can be implemented into their work immediately. Course material covers the range from beginner to advanced. Class length is 6-7 hours, depending on the subject and level. At the end of the day the trainee has been introduced to a good number of concepts and tools and has had the opportunity to practice them during the class. The instructor for all classes, has experience as a trainer. He has trained in a wide variety of settings, from high-tech training rooms to the factory floor. He has rolled out software to large companies, projects spanning several years, as well as smaller firms and shorter engagements. His training style is such that he engages the trainee right from the beginning and keeps the pace lively during the entire class. He takes "what if" questions as they come and goes "off book" if the need arises, modifying the material to fit the classes' needs. Along with group classes, one on one training is available.
