ORÍGENES, HISTORIA E INFLUENCIA DE LOS MEDIOS DE COMUNICACIÓN EN CALI.

Un encuentro con la cultura y la caleñidad, en la Biblioteca Departamental Jorge Garcés Borrero el viernes 19 de agosto, traerá los mejores recuerdos de los inicios de los medios de comunicación y su influencia en la sociedad local.

Los asistentes compartirán gran parte de la historia con las remembranzas de los primeros periódicos, revistas, emisoras en Cali, cuyos orígenes se remontan a los inicios del Siglo XX:

1.903 - EL CONSERVADOR, periódico dirigido por Fortunato Garcés.

1.903, CORREO DEL CAUCA, fundado por Ignacio Palau Valenzuela.

1.904 - EL DIA, semanario tabloide que en 1.916 se transformó en diario.

1.933 – periódico EL MERCURIO.

1.935 - EL GATO, creado por Francisco González.

La radio en Cali también tiene una historial muy particular:

Una tarde de domingo de 1.930, nace como un experimento, los hermanos Jorge y Miguel Rivas instalaron varias cornetas de vitrola y transmitieron usando un micrófono de carbón. Con la primera emisora en Cali, LA VOZ DEL VALLE, en 1.932 surge en la región el periodismo radial. LA VOZ DE CALI, fundada en 1.956, da origen al Circuito Todelar, en 1.957 ya contaba con 21 emisoras.

Estas anécdotas comunicativas tendrán el acompañamiento de periodistas locales y una nota musical con el guitarrista clásico HERNANDO SALAZAR.
