Este domingo 2 de mayo en las instalaciones del Coliseo El Pueblo, se llevará a cabo el Campeonato Departamental Open de Porrismo 2010 con la presencia de los más importantes colegios y clubes que practican esta actividad deportiva a partir de las 10:00 de la mañana. Este campeonato se desarrollará en las categorías pre infantil, infantil, juvenil y élite y acudirán más de 50 grupos de porrismos entre colegios y clubes para demostrar las destrezas y habilidades que desarrollan a la hora de hacer sus piruetas, maromas y movimientos. El Club Cheer Leader Falcon´s, del Colegio Nuestra Señora de la Consolación, encabeza el grupo de porristas participantes, ellas ocuparon el tercer lugar en un evento internacional el mes pasado en los Estados Unidos constituyéndose en uno de los grandes atractivos de este certamen. Este evento es organizado por la Liga Vallecaucana de Gimnasia y cuenta con el Respaldo de la Secretaría de Deporte y Recreación de Santiago de Cali, que se encuentra bajo la dirección de Diego Cardona Campo y busca con este apoyo beneficiar las deportistas y masificar esta actividad deportiva a en la sucursal del cielo.
